Leticia Bufoni has a secret

Written by Xavier Lannes

Although she currently lives in Los Angeles, Leticia Bufoni is a professional skateboarder (her sponsors are: Volcom, Osiris, Foundation, Bones, Destructo, Chica Rider, Rock Star,Check It Out Mag and Brandy Skateboard) who was born in Sao Paulo (Brazil) on April 13, 1993. She has been skating for five years only, enjoys night skate sesh with fellows Túlio, Caleb, Lacey, Amy, Lisa, Ana Paula and Chris, gets inspired by Elissa, Vanessa, Amy, Andrew, Geoff, Corey and Billy, thinks that Chino Skatepark (Inland Empire) is the best place she's ever skated and has won the prestigious Maloof contest in July.

But, that’s not all: a fairy recently materialized Leticia on the October issue of Glamour magazine, on a print ad for the deodorant "Secret", where she appears in a photo sequence boardsliding a rail wearing a magnificent red dress and high heels! (See picture)

Of course, that picture immediately spread like a cancer on all skateboard websites not only on the Brazilian website "100% Skate" but on most American and European websites too. It is a frenzy rarely seen at that level.

Yes, the ad is quite impressive at first look but, a behind-the-scenes video (by photographer Ana Paula Negrão, posted on thesideproject.com) reveals that the high heels and the background were added into the final artwork. Hence, the “secret”! Leticia actually wore black sneakers and skated in a photo studio during the photo shoot!

Nonetheless, the slide is real and the picture will instantly bring her stardom status. Despite the (finally small) photoshop enhancements, ultimately the ad is delicate and intelligent and brings a new element of freshness to the whole skate-smell affair where already Ryan Scheckler and Rob Dyrdek already dived.

Leticia Bufoni is definitely one to watch.
