I Skate, Therefore I Am -Home- Yes! isTia skateboard blog talks about skateboarders, skaters, vert, ramp, skateparks, pool, backyard pools, kidney pool, pink motel, supreme skateboard, copying, skateboarding photography, skate rock, concrete disciples, daily skate news, Vans, Venice skatepark, skate spots and skateboard news. There are plenty of other skate websites that publish skateboard news faster than me, and better than me (Transworld, The Berrics, Thrasher, Slap magazine, skatedaily, crailtap, juice magazine, skate and annoy,…), so I won’t just give the skate news, I’ll also tell you what I think about it even if I’m wrong. Then you can conform and think like me too and impress your friends with your profound knowledge of the skateboarding industry. LOLLast week-end, Skateboarders from Canberraand beyond have converged on the Australian capital for the latest round of the national amateur skateboarding series takes place at the Woden Skate Park. The park has everything: banks galore, proper rails, tacos, reverse tacos, bowls, ledges, bank to blocks, bank to walls, lumps, bumps and whoop-dees. It is an adventure playground that would put a smile on any geezer. As this is a qualification series that leads to a street final at the Cranbourne shed, the Woden comp was held on the “street” part of the park.

It was a first for the park and for Canberra with Skateboarding Australia's general manager Glenn Walker finding it hard to contain his excitement. Walker said the competition has unearthed the best talent in Australia allowing skateboarders to showcase their skills on a national platform. The winners will go on to compete at the national finals at Melbourne in April. Last November Skate Australia received a $500,000 grant from the federal government to encourage people to participate in the sport and Skateboarding is slowly building a profile on the national Australian stage.

Competition was divided into two age groups: under 14 and open age and the judges were be looking for progression and innovation on the skate park and a combination of multiple tricks.
