Leticia Bufoni is the skater girl everyone is looking for. Born on the 13th of April, 1993, she is one of the few pro woman skateboarders worldwide and she has real talent, spirit, grace and juice. Leticia started skateboarding in 2003 and is now a major player in all fields of skateboarding. In 2010, Leticia Bufoni was voted pro woman skateboarder of the year! She was also recently voted Female Skater of the Year in Brazil by legendary Cemporcento Skate Magazine for the second time in a row.
Although she currently resides in Hollywood, California (she both go to school and skate at Hollywood High, Belmont and Normandie), Leticia Bufoni is actually from Brazil. She was born and raised in Sao Paolo, a hotbed of skate talents with a major skate scene (both vert and street). As a reminder, Brazil is the second country in the world for skateboarding and Sao Paolo is the hometown of legends like Bob Burnquist and Sandro Dias.
Leticia Bufoni started competing as a pro in 2006 and by the end of 2007 finished 9th at the WCS (World Cup Skateboarding ) top ten. By 2008, now 15 years old, she was ranked 3rd in the world in Ladies Street. In 2009, she participated and qualified in the finals in the highly competitive Tampa Am as the only woman in the field of men (there is no women's division in the Tampa Am). Leticia competed in the X Games Women's Street in 2007-2010 and earned a spot on the podium in 2010 at X Games 16 where she won the silver medal.

Bufoni has had an incredible 2010 year. She won the ISF WCS title in Ladies Street in Boston in June as part of the Dew Tour. She also landed first in both Ladies Street and Bowl at Inferno, the Rome World Cup competition. Those accomplishments alone would make for an exceptional year; but those are just part of the whole picture: Leticia also won the 2010 Maloof Money Cup West Coast event in the Girls Street. She displaced X Games gold medalist Alexis Sablone by landing amazing tricks that included a 180 down the big set of stairs and a crooked grind on the picnic table. She locked up the win at Maloof with a dazzling backside Smith down the 9-stair rail and kickflip down the triple set. That win was following her 2009 Maloof victory.

At the 2010 Mystic Sk8 Cup in Prague, (another WCS event), Bufoni took second in Ladies Street and first in Ladies Bowl; she also took first at Relentless NASS in UK. At X Games 16, Bufoni solidly landed in the top 3 in Ladies Street for the first time, taking second to Alexis Sablone. Bufoni finished 2010 with the top spot in the Ladies Street World Cup rankings.

Bufoni is sponsored by Osiris Shoes, Foundation Skateboards, Volcom, Destructo, Bones Wheels, and Rockstar Bearings. She is also a musician and when she isn't skating, she is singing or playing guitar with her band, As Cantantes.

Happy Birthday Leticia
