Alex Perelson immortalizes the tailgrab 900

Alex Perelson is a 20-year-old skateboarder from San Diego, California. He's known for his transition riding (bowl and pool duh!) skills and vert ramp performances at events like the Dew Tour, X Games and Maloof Money Cup.

Last week, Monster Energy's Alex Perelson may have just immortalized his name into the pages of skateboarding history. He was already the youngest in an elite group of humans who have landed a 900 degree rotation on a skateboard. Tony Hawk, Giorgio Zattoni, Sandro Dias, and Bob Burnquist are some pretty impressive company.

Tony Hawk did it first in 1999, using a mute grab to hold his board to his feet during the intense rotation. Now Alex has added a new degree of difficulty by grabbing his tail.

Alex Perelson is one of the most dynamic young vert skateboarders in the world. On one hand he has a mild mannered, laid back personality, on the other his skating is explosive, fluid and super stylish.
