Z-Flex to Release 35th Anniversary Jay Adams Skateboard

It’s no secret that Jay Adams along with Tony Alva, Stacy Peralta and a handful of others shaped pool skateboarding as we know it today. Widely heralded as the originator of skateboarding, Jay Adams' influence on the sport still continues to this day. The very first sponsor for the Z-Boys was Z-Flex, one of a handful of skate companies finding its way during the infancy of skateboarding, Z-Flex, born in 1976 following the legendary Zephyr team, has endured to become the longest running skateboard company in existence. There is no return of the Z-Boys but the new Z-Flex ‘Jay Adams’ 35th anniversary skateboard is here for collectors to pick-it up. The ‘Jay Adams’ skateboards are in memory of the early years when they were known to make the best skateboards around. They consistently broke boundaries as the lead innovators in the skating realm.

Founded in 1976 as a home for the original Z-Boys, through unique innovations (the fiberglass board and the first patented truck) and famous team of riders, Z-Flex evolved as the pioneer in the industry.
Fun little fact about Z-Flex. They were the first to have a set of their trucks patented.
The board measures 32.8" by 9" and is constructed with 7 ply Canadian Hard Rock maple.

The board will officially release September 1st, 2011 in limited quantities to select dealers worldwide.
