Barcelona and the new DC Embassy Skate Park

The new DC Embassy skate park at Barcelona.
It's no secret that the centrestage of skateboarding has shifted from Southern California to Spain and Barcalonoa in particular. Thanks to very active skateboarders, France and Spain have now some of the best spots in the world. Starting now, you can add another one: after being a work in progress for the past 3 years, “The DC Embassy” is now alive and ripping. DC shoes, in collaboration with some of the most respected European skateboarders, and top of the line skatepark builders (CSF) are stoked to announce the completion of this 12,000 square foot indoor skatepark located in every skateboarders dream location, Barcelona, Spain. The DC Embassy Skatepark will put out weekly video segments online showcasing DC European riders, US riders, as well as other teams and riders from all over the world.

“We felt there was something missing in Europe, a place where our friends and team can ride and enjoy street skating without the street hustle… This will also be a great opportunity for European skateboarders to show the world their skills and good homie times through The Embassy site,” said European Skate Category Manager Ruben Garcia. “A place for pure skateboarding”

The DC Embassy Facebook page is already growing at a rapid pace, and the first park segment will be released tomorrow featuring Sk8Mafia’s newest pro, Wes Kremer.

A few videos have already been posted on the site including an opening day montage, and the legendary Tom Penny even stopped by and skated the park before its completion. Stay up to date with The DC Embassy and check back weekly for video and news updates.
