Pedro Barros ESPN Brazil Video

Pedro Barros is unbeatable. He is not the only Brazilian to be on top. Maybe you should learn Portuguese to be able to compete with all of them...
Pedro Barros Video with ESPN Brazil

FLORIANÓPOLIS – A couple of weeks ago, Pedro Barros the double World Skateboarding Champion whose specialty is bowl riding, was receiving at his home of Rio Tavares (Florianopolis, Brazil) the skate legends to the second edition of the Red Bull Skate Generation.

The novelty of the second edition was the inclusion of more than one category. Thus, teams that were formed from individual qualifying on Friday and Saturday had now our members.
Teams that were composed of representatives of the amateur categories (ranking by the Brazilian Confederation of Skate), professional, master (37-44 years) and "legend" (above 44 years). The main attraction, besides Pedro Barros were the Americans Duane Peters and Christian Hosoi.

Enchanted by Brazil, Christian Hosoi. was inspired by the monument of Christ the Redeemer in Rio de Janeiro, to baptize his most famous maneuver, the "Christ Air". In the '80s.
Taking advantage of the contest, ESPN Brazil recorded this video (in Portuguese, of course). Sorry, no translation available, but during the interview, Pedro Barros was shedding an idea or two regarding the future of vertical skating… With a handful of Brazilian on top of skateboarding worldwide, maybe it’s time to learn Portuguese after all.
