Protec Pool Party 2012

It is the most anticipated contest of the season and people are getting crazy about it. As usual, the search for tickets, free pass or guest list is insane. It’s a closed event, so if you think you can just show-up and watch the show you’ll be disillusioned. The more people are crazy about the Protec Pool Party, the less Vans is eager to let people in. There are too many people on the deck, all trying to get a picture but actually getting on the way of the skaters. The security of the skaters is at stake and the fire Marshalls will be on call… The park is huge but overcapacity is looming. The 8th Annual Pro-Tec Pool Party held at the infamous Vans Combi of the block co-sponsored by Vitamin Water is scheduled for Saturday, May 12th.

If you want an advice, stay home and watch the Protec Pool Party in one of the several websites (including isTia.Tv) that will stream live the fury. Check your clocks on California time, the livestream is supposed to kick off at 2pm PST and finish at 9pm. Usually the contest starts earlier and ends earlier, so the window time must have been though for those who live abroad. The different formats where you can watch the Combi Pool Party live are: isTia.Tv/Protec-Pool-Party, the Vans Live 2.0 app for iPhone and iPad, the iTunes store and for Android and the Vans website.

With a total prize purse of $133,000 up for grabs this year and many of the world’s gnarliest professional and master bowlriders in the mix, the Vans Skatepark at the Block will be on fire.

The Protec Pool Party is a contest that you can’t afford to miss.
