Nolan Munroe Bronze at X Games: biggest McTwist ever

Nolan Munroe wins Bronze in Skateboard Big Air Finals at X Games LA 2012
Biggest McTwist ever, congrats Nolan Munroe

After returning this week from Europe for a series of contest where he placed tenth in vert in Rome and third at the Bowl contest at marseilles (Sosh Freestyle Cup), Nolan Munroe had just a couple of hours to get used to the jetlag (9 hour difference) and won the bronze at the Big Air, X Games 2012 with the biggest McTwist ever.

Nolan Munroe was born on Born on October 16, 1992, so that make him 20 years old in a couple of months. Primarily a bowl skater, Nolan finished 5th at the prestigious ProTec Pool Party in May 2010, 4th in 2011 and 5th in 2012. He should have been in the top three. He was an alternate at XG in 2010, and thrown into the Park field less than an hour before Eliminations began; he easily made the Final. He was 5th overall in the World Cup Skateboarding bowl rankings in 2009 an 3rd in 2011, just after Pedro Barros and Kevin Kowalksi.

Nolan is the type of kid who goes to Camp Woodward and every other kid wants to know who he is. His demeanor is that of a quiet, well-mannered young man, but aggressive skater. He can be seen destroying the vert ramp at Rye Airfield skate park every Friday with the likes of Crazyhorse and Jimmy Day. With people like that behind him there is no telling what he will learn. When he was younger, he had to rely heavily on his Dad for transportation. Mr. Munroe is a real trooper who gets him where he needs to be. Look out for Nolan Munroe.

Biggest McTwist ever, congrats Nolan Munroe
