Jeff Grosso Loveletters: Slams

Jeff Grosso Loveletters to Skateboarding: Slams
The biggest slams in the history of Skateboarding:

Over the years skateboarding has evolved to larger gaps, longer handrails, paired with more technical tricks. It’s no surprise that the consequences have increased. We are way beyond the bruised shin, sore elbow, or the skinned knee injuries. Now skateboarders are dealing with cracked skulls, crushed bones and spit skin. Arto Saari puts it best... "They call us professional skateboarders but we spend half our time on the ground trying to get up..." Slams are a big part of skating-- if you don't slam you aren't trying hard enough.

This is the latest Jeff Grosso "Loveletters to skateboarding". It is also the longest and not only it's worth seeing it once but twice or even 5 times. You watch all the slams and it hurts you deep inside. Let’s take a look at some of the worst crashes in the last few years.
