|Double Rock: Mike Vallely|
Mike Vallely is still as gnarly as ever, even after three decades of skateboarding. But you also have to carefully watch the 1st part with Jason Adams.
About Jason Adams switch to Elephant Brand, he recently said: "Three years ago with the whole fall out of the economy and the skateboard industry. That happened for me as well. I was making money one day, supporting a family and one day I had zero. It was like turning the light switch
off. And mix that with the fact that since the first day I turned pro in 1992, in the back of your mind you’re thinking “this has to end,” and I saw a lot of my heroes just get shoved out. I mean it went on for a long time, but when that hit I was like ‘I can’t get anything going, that would just be the end. This is the end. Fuck it.’ So I didn’t know what to do. Then [Krisitan] Svitak hit me up and was like ‘I can’t pay you that much, barely anything, you can do whatever you want to do or not want to do.’ So I rode for him for a while, and then I decided I wanted to do more. I wanted my spot back so to speak. Then Mike V hit me up out of nowhere. Really. He caught wind on a conversation and heard I was struggling and so he hit me up."
