Keith Ladzinski Photographer

Keith Ladzinski: excellence was standard, not optional...
The sudden entitlement of anyone with a camera to call themselves a "photographer" sometimes leaves no discernment between the art of the form and the act of the form. But suddenly, a backlash coming from the God of photographer announced that any photo published on Instagram could be sold to anyone else for the profit of Instagram. In this age of immediate interaction, thousands of non-photographers went on Facebook, Twitter and even Instagram to complain that their art was not for sale. They were right; nobody knows the real price of art. So the same picture could be worth a couple of dollars for some or thousands of dollars for others. Surprised by the barrage of complains, within 24 hours Instagram did a volte-face and declared that, like a pimpled teenager “nobody understands me”. The pictures were not for sale. What they all seem to forget (including Instagram) is that real, talented photographer don’t put their art in Instagram…

The collection of 3 skateboard pictures above is a screen shot from Keith Ladzinski website where he explains that: “In June of 2011 Tim Pain from Team Pain Skate Parks contacted me asking if I would be interested in shooting a handful of his latest parks. The job: Skating with my friends and shooting photos, how could I pass this up? It's been ongoing and one of the most fun projects I've worked on in a while, can't wait for the next one!”.
