Opening once again the vert season of the vert championships World Circuit, the Maresia Vert Jam attracts skaters from around the world. The natural beauty of Rio de Janeiro, the warmth of the Brazilian public and the high level of competition make the days count foreign skaters to reach the city.

Attending the event for the third time, Paul-Luc Ronchetti highlights the mix of generations in the event, when veterans and newcomers compete as equals. The British chose the Cidade Maravilhosa as your favorite place to compete. "The event is always nice because of the exciting atmosphere, the crowd of fans watching and wonderful skaters. I Guess it'll be a lot of fun. This event, as well as the level of competition does not stop growing. Every year I look forward back. "

On the other hand, Andy McDonald, who placed third last year, did not wait to arrive.
Besides enjoying skateboarding, he wants to make time to go to the beach and see the park Madureira. But it’s not only because of the Cidade Maravilhosa that Andy likes to come to Brazil. "I'm always eager to visit the Rio. The Brazilians are the biggest fans of skateboarding worldwide and they are not afraid of showing their excitements. It’s always fun to walk into a crowd of people who love skateboarding."

The current world champion is the one who makes a guess about the toughest opponents. "Brazilians!" he says laughing. "Bob Burnquist and Marcelo Bastos are always hard to beat, even competing at home."

The winner of the championship in 2009, Australian Renton Miller also
chimes in praising the Brazilian public. He is eager to return, but says the main goal is to skate even fun. And Renton Miller praises the level of their opponents. "There are many good Brazilians, Americans too. Maresia The crazier Vert Jam is that you find many Brazilian athletes who did not know or had no idea they were so good."

The Maresia Vert Jam will take place on days 1, 2 and 3 February at the Parc des skates, in Rio de Janeiro.
The event will broadcast on isTia.Tv on Friday and Saturday. Sunday, the Globo TV broadcasts to end skateboard individual within the Sports Spectacular. Admission is free.
